I joined a gym yesterday, so that was almost 4 months off, since my other gym membership expired at the end of May. During this time I’ve been doing some walking and occasional pushups/situps at home, but not too much really. I think I was under-eating for a while, with it being summer and me not doing much I was just eating when hungry which obviously wasn’t enough. This meant that I had no energy when I woke up and at the end of the day I had a lot of energy. So, I tried eating more and it seemed to work.
Before the first session I took my readings…
- Weight: 153.2 lbs
- Fat: 13.4%
- Water: 60.0%
- Muscle: 44.1%
- BMI: 21.5%
- BMR: 1707
The numbers looked wrong so I went out and did some chores then came back and re-weighed and it was basically the same info.
Here’s the info from May 4th…
- Weight: 160.4 lbs
- Fat: 15.2%
- Water: 58.1%
- Muscle: 42.7%
- BMI: 22.5%
- BMR: 1751
So, it looks like I’ve lost weight, lost fat and gained muscle (or muscle is a higher percentage because of the loss of fat). Can’t argue at all with the loss of weight but I have been walking quite a bit this week so that may have affected the readings.
Anyway, was collared by a personal assistant on the way in and did an induction.
- 2 mins light warmup on treadmill
- 10 pushups
- 10 dips
- 10 leg raises
- 4 neutral, wide grip pullups
- 10 lat pulldowns (70kg)
- Some boxing training
- Situps
- 2 mins on the treadmill
It seemed to go ok though I was losing it at the end of the boxing. Will be interesting to see how long it takes to recover. Going to make sure I eat properly for this.
Note: Also, I need to change the scales and update my age, maybe that effects it.
